Health and Diet

All dogs at Kuhlman Haus are fed a raw meat and bones species appropriate diet.  Our research and results have convinced us that this is the best and most natural way to feed our dogs.  The benefits are numerous:

  • Healthy immune system, fewer vet bills
  • No "doggy" breath
  • No "doggy" odor - dogs smell clean
  • Beautiful tartar-free teeth that don't need "professional" cleaning
  • Healthy, glowing coats and skin
  • Bright, clear eyes
  • Smaller stool volume, less odor
  • No allergies

For a dog to reach full, vital health, he must be fed a raw whole foods diet. Whole foods provide maximum energy, a full spectrum of vitamins and minerals, essential fatty acids, life-giving enzymes, high complex carbohydrates and proteins - the building blocks of life.

Raw foods provide enzymes. Cooking kills enzymes and commercial dry pet foods are cooked. Food enzymes provide protection against degenerative aging.  Enzymes help prevent joint disease and arthritis.

It is unnecessary for genetically sound dogs to suffer from the skin problems, immune disorders, skeletal abnormalities and cancers that are now so prevalent in veterinarian offices. Whole raw foods have a dramatic impact on a dogs health.

"Dogs are carnivores, or meat eaters. Their teeth are formed to pull flesh apart. They have simple stomachs and a short digestive tract, ideal for digesting meat. Cereal and vegetable proteins are not as readily digested by the dog. While dogs have adapted somewhat to digesting these proteins, they have to eat a greater quantity of such foods to get the necessary nutrients. Dogs prefer a food high in animal protein, and it makes them healthier and perform better".

Vaccination

Our dogs and puppies are given no vaccines other than rabies (as required by law).  Research has shown that current vaccination protocols followed by most veterinarians can damage the dogs immune system and contribute to many other diseases and illnesses down the road.  Evidence that vaccines actually prevent the diseases for which they are given, is lacking.  Please research this topic thoroughly before deciding to vaccinate your dog.  See the websites listed below.  Ask for and read the package inserts for any vaccine before allowing any vet to vaccinate your animals - they are very telling.

No Toxic Chemicals

Our dogs are raised in a chemical free environment.  We do not use chemical pesticides, insecticides, herbicides, or fertilizers.  Our puppies are never exposed to toxic chemicals while inside or outside.  We have found natural solutions to all of the previously mentioned 'cides' as well as our cleaning and other needs.

Our first choice for medical needs is to treat our dogs holistically.  We do, however, respect and understand the need for traditional/allopathic medicine at times.

Parvaid is now available in Arizona through Kuhlman Haus.  This herbal formula has been used to help many dogs recover from Parvo virus.  Parvaid now has a +85% success rate in treating Parvo virus.  This is a much better success rate than most veterinarians and much less expensive.  Please call 480-507-6715 for information, or visit these websites:
